For close to ten years, Stars & Stripes has made substantial donations to the Building Baja’s Future (BBF) scholarship program. The donations have allowed BBF to expand its reach and help a larger number of students in need. With financial resources being a significant barrier to education for many individuals, this support provides deserving students the opportunity to pursue their dreams and aspirations.
By alleviating the financial burden of tuition fees, books, and other educational expenses, the scholarship program has empowered students to focus solely on their studies. Moreover, the impact of these donations extends beyond immediate financial relief. By investing in education, Stars & Stripes has shown its commitment to building a stronger and more prosperous society in Baja California Sur. By supporting students in need, the program has unlocked the potential of talented individuals who may not have had the opportunity to pursue higher education.
Together, Chileno Bay & El Dorado Foundations are working collaboratively with Stars & Stripes to strengthen the community by supporting local programs that will positively affect the children and families of Baja California Sur.
Funding has supported Teletón CRIT, a world-class specialty medical facility focused on physical rehabilitation, autism treatment, cancer treatment, pediatric emergency services and other specialty medical services. In addition, funding from Stars & Stripes goes towards the classroom expansion of Paty’s Community Center & School, opening up opportunity to 80 children from the barrio to continue their education in a nurturing environment, and establishing the Los Cabos Community Blood Bank – the first of its kind in the Los Cabos region.
Los Cabos Children’s Foundation (LCCF) was founded in 2002 to give children in Los Cabos access to medical care that was completely unavailable in the whole state. Their support for children with heart conditions became possible in 2004 – it was the second cause served by LCCF, after childhood cancer.
Over the years, Stars & Stripes has funded various congenital heart programs through LCCF – including the recent delivery of a high-tech ultrasound machine, the first of its kind in the entire Baja California Sur region. This system, designed for pediatric & fetal cardiovascular care, features advanced capabilities such as 3D imaging, strain analysis, color Doppler, pulse, and so much more.
Our Baja Good Guys are those who donate their boat to the tournament, locals in the baja community who donate money, boats for the tournament and/or additional in-kind products to support Stars & Stripes.
